About: David Fett

Dr. David R. Fett specializes in reconstructive and cosmetic eyelid surgery and skin resurfacing. He works from his clinic, Fett Eyelid Center, located in Los Angeles, California. With a record of more than 30,000 eyelid procedures, Dr. David Fett has accumulated extensive experience in the ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery community. He primarily relies on advanced laser technology, which grants him better control and accuracy to meet patients’ surgical needs and desires.

A graduate of Dartmouth Medical School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Dr. David Fett has conducted and published scientific research. Dr. David Fett has had articles published in major scientific journals such as Science, Archives of Ophthalmology, Annals of Ophthalmology and many other journals. After completing a flexible internship at UCSF and Mt. Zion Hospitals in San Francisco, he completed an ophthalmology residency at UCLA and the Jules Stein Eye Institute. Before launching his own practice in 1985, Dr. David Fett was a Fellow in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois and Michael Reese Hospitals in Chicago. Dr. David Fett still works at the Jules Stein Eye Institute where he teaches ophthalmology residents and fellows.

As part of his commitment to providing his patients with the best surgical conditions possible, Dr. David Fett strives to develop and utilize minimally invasive techniques to maximize recovery and safety. As a result, he actively networks in the scientific community and belongs to a number of professional organizations such as the American Medical Association, Los Angeles Eye Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Blepharoplasty Society. Furthermore, he completed a fellowship under the auspices of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. David Fett stands as a productive physician who has drawn from his professional experience to write articles for major scientific publications such as Science, Archives of Ophthalmology, Annals of Ophthalmology, and other scientific journals.
During his spare time, Dr. David Fett enjoys writing,biking, hiking, gardening, and martial arts.
